He was predeceased by: his parents, Salvatore "Sam" Donia and Josephine "Jessie" Donia (Mattaliano); and his sisters, Angie Shephard (Glen), Virginia Speicher (Clair) and Cecillia Pritts (Alan).

He is survived by: his wife Vivian L. Donia (Miller); his daughter Debra Donia (Amanda) of Pittsburgh; his stepdaughter Kathleen Stull (Jim Onder); his grandchildren, Alexis, Connor, Tyler Peterson, Myles Samuel, Tayshawn, Layah Donia, Ashton, Brayden, Amanda (Micah Tucker) and Terri (Craig Ward); and his great grandchildren, Essence (Andrew Illerbrun), Jalynne Tucker, Harper and Kinley Ward.
