It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert K. Durst Sr. (Boswell, Pennsylvania), who passed away on January 10, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Abraham Durst and Nellie Durst (Bowden); his former wife Dorothy Durst (Livingston); his son William B. Durst; and his siblings, Thelma Rader, Kathryn Warnick, Melda Shaffer and Clarence Durst.
He is survived by: his wife Katie L. Spory-Durst (Kabina); his children, Brenda Shuman (Robert), Sally Montgomery (Albert), Stacey Tressler (Ken), Lisa Ruffing (Randy) and Robert Durst, Jr. (Gay); his grandchildren, Jason Shuman (Jennifer), Jennifer Price, Fred Durst (Brandy), Melissa Durst, Allen Durst, Justin Tressler, Jerricho Tressler and Matthew Ruffing (Amber); his great grandchildren, Brynlee, Brooks, Brenden Shuman, Isaac, Olivia Durst, Aley, Braden Ruffing and Dawson Price; his stepchildren, Laura Young (Robert) and John Crabtree, Jr. (Erisa); his stepgrandchildren, Amber Lawson (Glenn), Heather Ely (Dustin), Ronald Dunmyer, II (Tara), Cathy and Michael Crabtree; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Glenn, Paul, Autumn, Aaron Lawson, Benjamin Smith, Noah Ely, Brenden and Hailey Dunmyer; and his sister Wilma Durst (John). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
