He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald B. Deist and Violet E. Deist (Shaffer); and his brother Robert L. Deist. He is survived by: his wife Delores I. "Dee" Deist (Thomas); his sons, Kevin L. Deist (Laurie), Brian K. Deist (Lisa) and Bruce A. Deist (Nicole Landis); his grandchildren, Reece A. Deist (Kelly) and Lucas D. Deist; and his great grandchildren, Suzannah and Lydia. He is also survived by 2 brothers; 5 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
