He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas J. McCarthy, Jr.; his brother Michael; and his nieces, Catherine and Maggie. He is survived by: his parent Esther L. (Moriarty); and his siblings, Thomas III, Daniel, William, Patrick, Catherine Heist, Maryellen and Bridget. He is also survived by 21 nieces and nephews and 3 grand nieces.
