He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Rodgers and Evelyn McKean Rodgers; and his siblings, Lynn Chludenski and Robert T. Rodgers. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Rodgers; his son Derek Rodgers (Diana); his stepchildren, Donald Kiker and Thomas Kiker (Karry); his sister Christine Andrews (Richard); and his grandchildren, Thomas Kiker (Emily), Tymothy Kiker and Franki Grace Rodgers. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
