She is survived by: her husband John C. Short; her children, Karen Short (Craig Potts) and Chad Short (Mark Karpesky); her pet Jake; her in-laws, Elaine Closson (Short), Ray Closson, Fred Howard and Frank Ballas; and her nieces and nephews, Kevin Howard, Greg Howard, Christopher Ballas, Lisa Brendlinger (Closson) and Wendy Bailey (Ballas).
