She was predeceased by: her parents, Bryan Boring and Sophia Boring (Maley); her husband William B. Hughes; her grandson Randy Murphy; and her brother Charles Boring.

She is survived by: her children, Karen Murphy of Bolivar, William F. Hughes (Elizabeth) of Bolivar and Greg Hughes (Lenore) of Bolivar; her grandchildren, Stacy Murphy, Angela Kennedy, Jennifer Corneliussen and Gregory Hughes; and her great grandchildren, Dylan, Haley Murphy, Mason Licktenfelt, Alex, Shane Murphy and Remi Corneliussen.
