With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Compton Jr. (Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania), born in Ozan, Arkansas, who passed away on April 12, 2019 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Compton, Sr. and Cora Compton (Hooker). He is survived by: his daughters, Janet Ivey (Tom) of Wausau, WI, Susan Stecher of Harrisburg, Emily Compton of Carlisle and Doris Compton of Carlisle; and his grandchildren, Margo Swedlund (Tracy), Megan Westerberg (Paul), Wendy Armstrong (Charles), Debbie Amiri (Ramin) and Ted Compton (Dana).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 2 N. Hanover St. Carlisle, PA 17013.
