He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Benner and Helen Spearly Benner; his wife Donna Jane Benner (Rittenhouse); and his siblings, Louise Lindsay of Linesville, Dorothy Hall of State College, Thelma Witmer of Centre Hall, Richard Benner of Centre Hall, Joe Benner of Zion and Thomas Benner of Filmore.
He is survived by: his sons, Timothy Edward Benner (Marcy Jo) of Watsontown and Matthew Russell Benner (Nicole) of Mount Wolf; his granddaughter Madison Jean Benner of Mount Wolf; and his sister Helen Eckley of Bellefonte.
A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Nittany United Methodist Church (1500 E Branch Rd, State College, PA 16801).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Mount Nittany United Methodist Church, 1500 E Branch Rd, State College, PA 16801 in memory of Edward Benner.
