He was predeceased by: his wife Caroline Wicker Waddington; his brothers, Harold Waddington and Samuel Waddington; and his grandson Jonathan Mann. He is survived by: his children, Mary Waddington of State College, PA, James Waddington of Bradenton, FL, Lauretta Mann (Marcus) of Allentown, PA, Kathy Lirette (Richard) of Pace, FL, David Waddington (Monica) of Springfield, VA and Douglas Waddington of State College, PA; and his grandchildren, Jarrod Rider (Michelle), Matthew Rider (Rebecca), David Mann (Sarah), Steven Mann (Gloria), Patrick Mann, Caroline Lirette, Libby Lirette, Katherine Lirette, Joseph Waddington, Theodore Waddington, Jeffrey Waddington and Cecilia Waddington. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He and Caroline were founding members of the Agronomy Bridge Club and he continued to play bridge until the pandemic started.
