Phyllis left this world on July 14, 2024 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Petrino and Frances Petrino (Cotteta); her former husband John Whalen; and her brother James Petrino. She is survived by: her children, Ellen Lunden, Michele McShea (Tim), Jack Whalen (Kathy) and Annette Paxson; and her grandchildren, BrianaCraig, Ashley Trier, TJ McShea, Kyle Whalen, KaitlynWhalen, Sadie Paxson and Lucas Paxson. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.

Family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

“i am very saddened to hear of phyllis passing as i ponder over the times we were able to spend together, i have many great memories of her . i will never forget, like down the shore, and when fred and frannie were there with us. good food good family good memorable fun. there are so many, many memories, i could go on for hours. she was so kind and understanding, her christmas cookies and ricotta pie, wow! she made my life much more fullfiling . once again i could go on for hours. unk ken.”
