Tom Hill lit a candle

“In memory of Anthony John Messana, With deepest sympathies on hearing of the loss of Anthony Messana. Tony was a work colleague and good friend, the two of us (and our families) getting to know each other during his time at St. Joseph Hospital. Tony was kind, committed to his family and his work and, above all, a passionate advocate for the vulnerable in his chosen field. He taught us much and his impact will not be forgotten. He will be missed by all.”

“In loving memory of Anthony John Messana, So much to thank Tony for what dialysis is today. He used his knowledge of the "Hill" and the legislative process to his advantage by being the voice for our dialysis patients. On the side, his culinary expertise was a delight to experience and I am forever grateful to be one of many who have enjoyed his gastronomic creations. Thank you Tony. May your heart and soul find peace and comfort.”

Donna McAllister Rowe wrote a sympathy message

“In loving memory of Anthony John Messana, Tony was a kind, and generous man. And a good cook! Tony wasn't just my boss, he was a friend. He was always available with a listening ear when I needed to talk about something. I will remember the times we shared our love for soccer and all the times he brought in something he cooked (mostly) soups he made that he shared with me. My favorite was his Gazpacho! He was dear and will be deeply missed. May your heart and soul find peace and comfort.”
