He was predeceased by: his wife Alta W. Zimmerman Hoover; his parents, Joseph O. Hoover and Mary H. Sensenig Hoover; his great grandchild Adrian Hindal; and his brothers, Ellis, Willis and Paul Hoover.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry A. (Dorcas), Jay P. (Shirlene), Richard L. (Martha), Sharon (David L. Weaver) of Coatesville and Bonita (Lamar Weaver) of Denver; and his siblings, Elmer (Anna Mary), Anna Weber of Alabama, Alma Eberly of Gap and Thelma (Dan Wenger) of Lititz. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren.
