He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard McElroy and Pauline McElroy (Berkowska); and his granddaughter Amanda C. Patti. He is survived by: his significant other Gloria Russi; his daughters, Catherine (John Rude), Cheryl Howlett and Christine (N. J.); his grandchildren, Linda D. (Harold Lampasso), Emily Larson, Madeline Larson, Katherine (Kevin Toolan) and Patrick Howlett; his great grandchildren, Morgan, Sabastian, Connor and Alesandra; his great great grandchild Ana; and also Monsignor Robert E. Lawrence. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
