Wharton Jr. of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 9, 2024 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel N., Sr. and Dorothy V. Wharton (Huntington); his sister Dottie Wharton; his son Gary Evans; and his uncle Theodore Wharton.
He is survived by: his children, Samuel N. Wharton, III of Bloomsburg, June "Sue" Wharton of Bloomsburg, Jason T. Wharton (Desirae) of Bloomsburg, Christopher Wharton (Melissa Allard) of Bloomsburg, Dottie Wharton of Bloomsburg, Nicholas "Nick" Wharton (Briana Hicks) of Bloomsburg and Crystal Evans of Bloomsburg. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Dean W. Kriner Funeral Home and Cremation Service (325 Market St, Bloomsburg, PA 17815). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at the Muncy Cemetery (204 E Penn St, Muncy, PA 17756).
