With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth E. (Bower) Snyder (Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 16, 2024 at the age of 95. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Ruth E. had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Ruth E. may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Bower and Hazel Bower (Mordan); her former husband Dale Appleman; and her husband Gene M. Snyder. She is survived by: her children, Scott B. Appleman (Arla) of Hughesville, Patricia A. Snyder of Buckhorn and Lisa (James Mattive) of Bloomsburg. She is also survived by five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was an active volunteer for the American Cancer Society for many years and she was honored by them when they presented the Ray J. Calabrese Award to her.
