He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Leroy Kressler and Eva Mae Robinson (Hawk); his former wives, Joyce Ann Persing and June Perry Kressler; his wife Shirley F. Kressler; his stepdaughter Sherry L. Weaver; and his brother Richard Kressler.

He is survived by: his children, Susan J. Kressler of State College, David L. Kressler (Michelle) of Lebanon and Sharon J. Kressler of Minneapolis, MN; his grandchildren, Bryon Kressler, Brandon Hummer, David Kressler, II (Diane), Jallel Kressler (Contessa), Camar Mershon (Chris) and Zachary Kressler; and his stepchildren, April Novitski (Victor) of Bloomsburg, Jacqueline Bowden of Bloomsburg, Cheryl Ann Chik (Alex) of Monroe, CT, Daniel S. McKinney of Irish Valley and Michael S. McKinney (Lettie) of Sunbury. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
