He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Artley and Lillian Artley (Marks); his son Melvin A. Artley; his granddaughter Gretchen L. Artley; and his brother Thomas Artley.
He is survived by: his wife Harriet M. Johns; his children, Kirk W. Artley, Exchange, Rae T. Stine (Donna K. Ivey) and Ron C. Artley; and his siblings, Gladys Utt and Kenneth Artley. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
A public celebration of Ray's life will be held following the COVID-19 pandemic.
