She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred C. O'Neal and Carletta O'Neal (Hilscher). She is survived by: her husband James A. Wintersteen; and her children, James R. Wintersteen (Patricia) of Northumberland, Linda Nichols of Gadsden, Alabama and Eric J. Wintersteen (Tammy) of Bloomsburg. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
