He is survived by: his children, Douglas Carper of Hazleton, Bryan Carper (Mary) of Shickshinny and Lori Ann Bittenbender (Carl) of Pittston; and his siblings, John Carper of Danville and Grace Phillips of Orangeville. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
