She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles W. Harris and Nellie E. Harris (Hoffman); and her husband Curtis V. Kahl. She is survived by: her nephew Thomas Campbell; her sister-in-law Lois Sheetz; her niece Patti Brightbill; her nephew Rick Troutman; and her close friends, Dorothy Doebler and Cathy McDaniels.

She served on the Board of the former Columbia County Chapter of the American Cancer Society for many years.
