He is survived by: his wives, Betty E. Fetterman and Betty E. Shaffer; his children, Craig E. Shaffer (Faith) of Reno, TX and Karen E. Shaffer of Saltillo, PA; his grandchildren, Jennifer L. (Aaron Rosenzweig) of Staten Island, NY and Nathan E. Shaffer; his great grandchild Josephine C. Rosenzweig; and his sister Grace M. Shaffer of Orangeville. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
