He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Hartzel and Hazel Hartzel (Hess); and his brothers, John Hartzel (Jack) and James Hartzel. He is survived by: his wife Lucie Galipeau; his children, Christopher Hartzell of Port Matilda, Andrew Hartzell, Charles R. Hartzell, Jr. (Pat Leiby) of Bloomsburg, Michelle Hartzell (Colleen Cauto) of Bloomsburg and Rebecca (David Masker) of Bloomsburg; his stepchildren, Jessica Logan and Lucas Logan (Ana) of Canada; his grandchildren, Bailey, Mackenzie, Vivian, Conrad, Mason, Isabella, Jayden, Josh, Victoria and Hazel; his brother Marvin Hartzell (Linda) of Millville; and his pet Bonnie.
