He was predeceased by: his wife Louise; his son Richard "Ricky"; and his siblings, Theodore, Charles, Lorraine and Geraldine.

He is survived by: his sisters, Frances and Juanita; and his sons, Mark (Rosemarie), Byron and Keith (Mary Anne).

Upon Louise being diagnosed with Alzheimer's, he provided the love and care needed to keep her at home.
