He was predeceased by: his wife Rosemarie Hurley (Tramonte); his brother Richard Hurley; and his parents, Richard Hurley and Florence Hurley (Shields). He is survived by: his sons, Bill Martinelli (late Mary), Richard Martinelli (Pat) and Robert Hurley; his daughter-in-law Jenni Hurley; and his sisters, Dorothy Schultz, Marie Cassidy and Audrey Roberts.
