We bid farewell to Benjamin Elwood Wilkinson Sr. of Blandburg, Pennsylvania, born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 22, 2024 at the age of 78. Benjamin touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Benjamin shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Benjamin farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin A. Wilkinson and Sara M. Wilkinson (Letcher); and his brothers, William, Raymond and Kenneth.
He is survived by: his children, Benjamin E. Wilkinson, Jr. (Jil) of Altoona, Melinda "Mindy" Dye (Junior) of Everett and Randy Wilkinson (Melissa) of Lyleville; his stepsons, Bob Brown of Blandburg and Brian Brown of Blandburg; and his brother John S. Wilkinson of Randelman, NC.. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The military honors will be held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
