He was predeceased by: his father Michael F. Smith; and his siblings, Richard Smith and Linda Lou Smith. He is survived by: his wife Florence S. Smith (Hotkowski); his children, Linda Marlin (Scott) of Russellton, Scott Smith (Valerie) of Hampton and Beverly Bowser (Danny) of Allegheny Township; his grandchildren, Kelly Ellena (Joe), Gizzi, Sara Cortner (Shawn), Taylor Smith, Brady Smith, Scott Bowser (Kelly) and Matthew Bowser (Courtney); his great grandchildren, Lexi, Aiden, Brooklyn, Aubrie, Kloe and Joe, Jr.; and his siblings, Judith Schreckengost (Steve) of New Castle and Edward L. Smith of Sarver.
