He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Hess and Stella Hess (Ritchey); and his siblings, Eunice Beard, Meda Rager and Clair Hess.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Hess (Davis) of Blairsville, PA; and his children, Daniel B. Hess, David G. Hess and Deborah J. Zias (John).
