She was predeceased by: her parents, James Kenneth and Helen West (Grumbling); her husband James Smith Shumaker, Sr.; her parents-in-law, Robert C. L. and Edna Shumaker (Smith); her brothers-in-law, Robert Shumaker, Jr. and Angelino "Bunda" Carmo; and her nephew James West Carmo.
She is survived by: her children, James Smith Shumaker, Jr. (Margi Barr) and Amy Leigh Shumaker of Fort Myers, FL; her grandchildren, Anthony Soto, Sr. (Jessica Stehley) and Amanda Shumaker Flores (Ernesto Flores); her great grandchildren, Ariana, Anthony, Amelia and Athena; her sister Sally West Carmo of Blairsville, PA; and her siblings-in-law, Darla Wolford Shumaker of Blairsville, PA. and Rawn Shumaker of Blairsville, PA..
