She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond E. "Pete" Barnhart; her granddaughter Julie Brown; and her brother Earl Jacob Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Gary Barnhart (Carol) of Blairsville and Barbara Brown (Terry) of Blairsville; her granddaughters, Shelly Brown and Jill Richards (Gregg); her great grandchildren, Delaney Richards, Reid Davis, Jake Richards and Connor Davis; and her cousin Duilla Harkins of Greensboro, NC..
