He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph C. Shields and A. Marlene Shields (Lydick); his son Jeremy Lee Shields; and his nephew John R. "Tob" Shields. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Shields (Hankinson) of Blairsville, PA; his son Joseph A. Shields (Melinda); and his grandson Jeremy L. Shields. He is also survived by several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces & Nephew.
