He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman L. Shannon, Sr. and Lucinda Shannon (Leonard); his son-in-law Ray Crawford; and his siblings, Esther Campbell, Vera Foster, Shirley Bertolino and Grace Shubuck.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille "Peg" Shannon (Silvis) of Blairsville, PA; his children, Janice Ewing (Ken) of Torrance, PA, Debra Crawford of Blairsville, PA, Sherrie Shannon (Rick Schneider) and Herman Shannon, III (Virginia) of Blairsville, PA; his grandchildren, Amy, Ken, Casey, Brandon, Cody, Clint, Shelly, Michael and Christopher; and his siblings, Ella Ruffner, Tom Shannon, Connie Volpe, Cathy Timko (Tom) and Bill Shannon (Karen). He is also survived by 15 Great Grandchildren.
