He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans C. Hoel and Anna Grace Hoel (Robertson); and his brother Ralph D. Hoel. He is survived by: his wife Janet Hoel (Lentz) of Bolivar, PA; his daughters, Anna "Denni" Chiappetta (Tom) and Holly Krall (Steve) of Coral, PA; his grandchildren, Dustin Douglas Foust of Robinson, PA and Dana Danielle Foust of Pittsburgh, PA; his siblings, Suzanne Grassmyer of Lewistown, PA, Ronald Powell (Janice) of Bolivar, PA and Jacob Robertson (Janis Griffin); and his brothers-in-law, Carl Lentz and Ronald Lentz (Ann).
