It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Mae Heckathorn of Blairsville, Pennsylvania, born in Summit, Arkansas, who passed away on October 20, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband William Dean Heckathorn; and her sister Bernice Sand (Friend). She is survived by: her grandchildren, Gabrielle, Leanna, Faith and John; her children, William Dean Heckathorn Jr. (Beverly), Kimberly Hope Durika (David J. Durika) and John Lee Heckathorn (Cindy); her grandson Josh Matthew Heckathorn (Michelle); her great grandchildren, Cole Heckathorn, Sage Heckathorn, Deanna Alyse Durika (Ryan Parrish), Leanna Jo Durika (David Simms) and Ashley Marie Heckathorn (Josh Fabian); her sisters, Madelyn Sue Miller and Cathy Shrekengost; and also, Isiah Fabian, Elijah Fabian, Noah Fabian, Sloanne Fabian, John Heckathorn Jr., Gabrielle Heckathorn (Jake Ferry), Ezra Ferry and Faith Heckathorn.
Due to the re-implemented government regulations concerning COVID-19, only 50 people are permitted in the funeral home at one time.
