He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Garis and Mary Ellen Garis (Dapp). He is survived by: his wife Marilyn J. Garis (Steadman) of Biglerville; his children, Robert R. Garis of Gettysburg, PA, Nicole Tocco of Biglerville, PA and Mary Jo Frey of Biglerville, PA; his grandchildren, Joseph Robert Garis, Caitlynn Joann Garis, Abigail Joy Garis, Gabriel Garrison Frey, Julianna Tocco, Benson Aguilar, Greta Tocco and Syruss Micheal Windsor; and his sister Carol Ann Patton (Robert) of New York. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
