He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn A. Slaybaugh and Hattie Slaybaugh (Bushey); and his brother Glen Slaybaugh. He is survived by: his wife Jean Taylor Slaybaugh; his children, Connie S. (Patrick McCreary) of Aspers, Lori S. (Ronald Sewell) of Taneytown, MD and Steven A. (Judy Slaybaugh) of Orrtanna; and his grandchildren, Angie Taylor, Melissa Sheaffer, David Slaybaugh, Michelle Peters, Shauna Snyder and Sara Etzler. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
