She was predeceased by: her brother Donald Sheaffer; and her sons-in-law, Dale Kime and Guy Taylor. She is survived by: her husband Richard E. Hess; her children, Susan M. Kime (Kevin Shealer) of Bendersville, Linda L. (Brent Smith) of Biglerville, Cheryl A. (Gary Black) of Orrtanna, Barbara J. Taylor of Aspers and David R. (Marie Hess) of Gardners; and her siblings, Janet McGuirk of Biglerville, Jean Klinedinst of York Springs and Clair "Tom" Sheaffer of Chambersburg. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.
