She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Melester and Lola Melester (Zitzer); her sisters, Mary Glunt and Mildred Bear; her son-in-law William A. Black; and her brother-in-law Dean Hoffman.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela L. Black of Gettysburg, Tierney S. Strickhouser (Mike) of Biglerville, Scott A. Heller of Aspers and Barry L. Heller of Hanover. She is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
