He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Schippang and Frances Schippang (Bittenbender); his daughter Lori Ann Miller; his daughter-in-law Melodie Schippang; and his brother Alan "Clover" Schippang.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Schippang (Heft); and his sons, Brent W. Schippang (Annmarie) and Gary P. Schippang. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
