He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond John and Rose Marie Ueberroth (Stine). He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Ueberroth (Scott); his son Eric Smeltz; his mother-in-law Joyce Flynn; and his siblings-in-law, Janet Flatley and Steve Flynn. He is also survived by 5 brothers and sisters.
