He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Bender and Mae Eliza Bender (Ruch); and his siblings, Loretta K. Mease, Harriet M. Frey, Gerald L. Bender and Verna Rice.
He is survived by: his wife Mary E. Bender (Schrantz); and his daughters, Darlene "Dolly" M. Kirk (Edward E.) of Talala, OK and Marlene "Molly" G. Bender (Joseph S. Horwath, Jr.) of Bath.
