He was predeceased by: his parents, Oakley R. Ames and Helen Ames (Katic); and his brothers, Bill Ames (Judy) and Gary Ames (Antoinette). He is survived by: his granddaughter Carol (Spangenberg); his wife Carol A. Ames; his brother Sheldon Ames (Debbie) of Harrisburg, PA; his children, Stacey Ames Chenet and Derrick Ames; his grandsons, Jimmy and Michael Chenet; his great grandchild Jensen; his stepchildren, Jamie Frable, Kerri Fetherman Lane (Ken), Kevin Keat (Jen) and Melissa Gehret (Jay); his stepgrandchildren, Jordan Lane Abendroth (Derek), Kelsey Lane Gentry (Travis), Moriah Lane (Thaddeus), Alexander Bucchi, Alden Keat (Amber), Cory Cockley (Angelina), Colton Keat and Evan Keat; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Reece, Brody Lane Abendroth, Ivy Kate Lane Gentry and Russell Keat. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
