He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Deiter and Jane Deiter; his daughter Lora Deiter; and his siblings, William Deiter, Marlene "Pat" Carballo and Martha Lopez.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie; his son James G. Deiter (Piper Skoutelas); his grandchildren, Jennifer L. Wisniewski (Jarrod), James M. Deiter (Brittany Rae) and Sean Velekei (Molly); and his great grandchildren, Paige Marks, Jordyn Wisniewski and Jaxon Deiter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
