Jacob Y. Kazakia Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jacob Y. Kazakia in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Saleh and Galateia (Nikolaidou); his wife Maria Despoina Karabodos of Constantinople; his daughter Galateia (Justin Raade); his grandchildren, Jacob "Jack", West and Athena; his daughter Christina (Demetrios Staurinos); his grandchildren, Ourania and Simon; and his cousins, Stelios, Maria Taketzis and Kleri Kazakias.
Viewing will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Herron Funeral Home (458 Center St, Bethlehem, PA 18018). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral (1607 W Union Blvd, Bethlehem, PA 18018).
In lieu of flowers, per his request, donations can be made to St. Nicholas Cathedral or Lehigh University's Zoellner Arts Center.
