Irene P. Pitsilos Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene P. Pitsilos of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 30, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Chryssa Emmanouil Poulos (Gialitaki); her grandparents, George Nicholas, Filixia Panagotopoulos (Kamiorakis), Emmanouil and Eirini Gialitakis (Mavromihelakis); her father Nicholas G. Poulos; and her husband George A. Pitsilos.
She is survived by: her sons, A. George "A. G." Pitsilos (Lenore) and Nicholas P. "Niko" Pitsilos of Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Christopher Pitsilos of Pennsylvania, Sarah Pitsilos of Pennsylvania and Summer Joy Pitsilos of Pennsylvania; her sister Poppy Zizos (Poulos) of Florida; her nephew Gregg Zizos; her nieces, Nicole Zizos Gulledge and Chryssa Zizos; her sister-in-law Evie Dectis (Pitsilos); and her nephews, Nicholas Dectis and Jack Dectis.
Viewing was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral (1607 W Union Blvd, Bethlehem, PA 18018). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to the St. Nicholas Senior Citizens group or St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
