He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Powell and Janet Gross (Bachman); his stepparents, Leonard Gross and Mildred Powell; and his brother Bryan Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Powell (Nagy); his children, Eric Powell, Shaun Powell (Jacqueline) and Stefanie Sneeringer (Adam); his sisters, Phyllis Andrews (Joseph) and Diane Williams; and his grandchildren, Madeline, Claudia, Levi and Everett.
