She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Christman and Beatrice Christman (Yerger). She is survived by: her husband Donald A. Barkey; her children, Karen Smothers (John) of Manhattan, KS and David Barkey (Kari); her siblings, Earl Christman (Gloria) of Fountain Hill and Doris Eckhart (Arlin) of Newtown; and her grandsons, Joshua and Noah Smothers.
