He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor Gackenbach (Gehret); his parents, Ezra Gackenbach and Lucinda Gackenbach (Gehman); and his son Kyle. He is survived by: his daughter Kay Kooistra (John) of Tucson, AZ; his daughter-in-law Brenda Gackenbach of Eldersburg, MD; and his brother Vernal Gackenbach of Allentown. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
