He was predeceased by: his parent Henry Elder; and his son Terry Dewayne Schaeffer. He is survived by: his parent Ida Boyer Elder; his son John Paul Sheaffer (Valerie Young) of Bethel Township; his grandchildren, Matthew Sheaffer (Amanda), Travis Sheaffer, Tanya Kirkwood (Robert) and Jessica Sheaffer; and his significant other Debbie Wright of Parks Township.
