He was predeceased by: his parents, Sophie Spirawk and Andrew Spirawk; and his son Richard Spirawk Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Carol Spirawk; his daughters, Susan Billetdeaux (Joe) and Ellen Zullo (Bradd); and his grandchildren, Anna, Jack Billetdeaux and Lexxine Zullo.
